Ah! My Goddess

A good ecchi anime. What more is there to say? If you like looking at pretty, naive women, this is your anime. You can download the season one of Ah! My Goddess from AnimeYuki (torrent). Ah! My Goddess is also a good-feel anime, with plenty of good deeds, unwavering faithfulness and devotion. (more…)

Chobits

Wow. This anime has a fantastic, mysterious story. Lots of ecchi, too. Always a plus! (more…)

  • Death Note

Death Note just finished airing a couple of days ago in Japan, and I must say, the ending was so twisted, almost anti-climactic. If you haven’t seen any of this morbidly exhilerating anime, I suggest you check it out. You can read a synopsis of Death Note at Anime News Network or download all 37 episodes via mininova.org (bittorrent). (more…)

    Dennou Coil

Note: Dennou Coil translates as “Cyber Coil”.

Mooky turned me on to this one; seeing the style, I again decided to try this one out, and I was not disappointed. This has to be the most sci-fi packed anime I’ve seen to date. This is one of the few anime where I wasn’t impressed with the intro; it doesn’t do the anime justice. Still, it’s worth watching and gives a glimpse as to what the story is (partially) about. (more…)

    Dragonaut the Resonance

This anime makes the Gundam characters and their mechs look like a bunch of pussies — well, except for the whiny Jin and his teen-angst childhood friend. What could be better than piloting a dragon? Nothing. (more…)

    Elfen Lied

Awesome anime. Gory, romantic, and dramatic. You’ll see loyalty, death, sadness, and retribution. One of the best animes I’ve ever seen. (more…)

  • Eureka Seven

Another great anime. At 50 episodes, this of a longer length than most animes these days, but it kept this otaku thoroughly enthralled. From the studio who brought you Full Metal Alchemist, this is one of the few mecha animes I’ve enjoyed; perhaps that is because it mixes a lot of other stuff in with the mecha action, ne? (more…)

Note: “History’s Strongest Disciple Kenichi”, romaji version is “Shijou Saikyou no Deshi Kenichi”

I first saw this anime back in fall of 2006, and easily dismissed based on the animation style. Fast forward to the beginning of July, and I finally started watching it after talking with my brother. This anime is first I’ve commented on that is still airing, so keep an eye on this one. (more…)

    Please Teacher

If there ever was an anime that exemplifies beyond-platonic teacher-student relationships, here it is. Please Teacher has it all: comedy and bouncy women. This is another short anime, at 13 episodes, the final episode being a DVD release. (more…)

    School Days

When I first came across this anime, I was a little skeptical; so far, my experience with school life-based anime had been dull. This anime proved to break that mold and provided an entertaining, even exciting, story, while still providing lots of beautiful animation and music. (more…)
