Sola is an unfortunately short but very sweet fantasy anime, with Naru Nanao designing characters (take a look at Minitokyo and AnimePaper for some of her art). The combination of soothing music, wonderfully vibrant colors, and an excellent storyline make this an anime worth watching, up there with other ecchi titles, like Please Teacher and Ah! My Goddess. The last episode airs in two days, and I look forward to it.

Yorito Morimiya loves taking pictures of the sky so much that one day, he wakes up at 4 am to take pictures of the sunrise overlooking the bay. However, he is deterred when he meets a strange girl trying to force a vending machine that stole her money. Yorito helps her with forcing the machine but when the machine finally vends, the girl has mysteriously vanished.

I’d recommend downloading the Lunar Anime subtitled version of Sola. Quality video and subtitles. I recommend searching Mininova for this series.
