Kiba

Of all of the recent animes, only a handful are not based on manga. This is one of them. Financed by Upper Deck Japan, a trading card company, this anime stood out from all the others, such as Pokemon and Digimon: in contrast, this is a much darker anime ridden with despair and gloom. Ah! My Goddess

A good ecchi anime. What more is there to say? If you like looking at pretty, naive women, this is your anime. You can download the season one of Ah! My Goddess from AnimeYuki (torrent). Ah! My Goddess is also a good-feel anime, with plenty of good deeds, unwavering faithfulness and devotion. (more…)

Sola

Sola is an unfortunately short but very sweet fantasy anime, with Naru Nanao designing characters (take a look at Minitokyo and AnimePaper for some of her art). The combination of soothing music, wonderfully vibrant colors, and an excellent storyline make this an anime worth watching, up there with other ecchi titles, like Please Teacher and Ah! My Goddess. The last episode airs in two days, and I look forward to it. (more…)

    Death Note just finished airing a couple of days ago in Japan, and I must say, the ending was so twisted, almost anti-climactic. If you haven’t seen any of this morbidly exhilerating anime, I suggest you check it out.
